Chani Cohen Zada is an Israeli painter whose work is rooted in close observation, technical discipline, and a profound sensitivity to the relationship between perception and reality. Through painting, she explores the tension between what we believe we see and what is actually present before us, inviting viewers to look beyond assumptions and engage more deeply with the material world.

Artist statement

My name is Chani Cohen Zada. I am a painter and artist, living and working in Talmon. I have held nine solo exhibitions in galleries and museums, including in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, and have participated in many group exhibitions. In the Hebrew year 5780 (2019–2020), I received the Minister of Education’s Uri Orbach Award for Creators in Jewish Culture in the field of visual art.
